Introduction
The Transfer XTS VV by L'Atelier is designed to handle high winds. Along with a rigid sturdy frame it has multiple vents, a few of which can be regulated by inserts. The photos show the three inserts in and out of the vented sections. A couple of the screen vent pockets open and close through their Velcro seams on the backside.

Dimensions, specs & cost
The width of the Transfer XTS VV is 8', and is rated for 8-25 mph. I received mine from the Kite Shoppe as a free bonus kite but the regular cost is around $500.00.

Flight Characteristics
The Transfer XTS VV does have a sweet spot when the winds are high. I liked how it handles in strong winds when all the vents are open fully. However, I didn't care for its sluggish flight performance in weaker winds, which requires the vents to be closed off by its inserts. Therefore, I only fly this kite when the winds are 20 mph or more.
